But they will get precious little that is practical and useful out of the curriculum in most business programs. They get almost no quantitative literacy, very little macroeconomic thinking, a skewed form of critical thinking, and a twisted form of creativity. Whereas, if they learn to think and reason in Philosophy classes, to read, write and analyze in history and English, to think creatively in the arts, they might actually graduate with some skills. More relevant in that respect would be Bob Rowthorn and John Eatwell, which in different ways were supposed to be the younger heterodox generation in the 1970s. Now Tony Lawson and Ha-Joon Chang are the only ones left (I assume Grabiel Palma retired, since he doesn't appear on the faculty page).Matias Vernengohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09521604894748538215noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8595404115121834255.post-73815748806469250692014-12-16T14:33:42.108-05:002014-12-16T14:33:42.108-05:00and don't forget Geoff Harcourt, another lumin...and don't forget Geoff Harcourt, another luminary at Cambridge back in the day.

peAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
